Nobody gives you a manual on the day you become a team leader. One day you are doing the work with your colleagues, and the next day people are looking at you for answers. It feels exciting, and honestly, a little scary. I have spent more than ten years in logistics and warehousing , in more than one country, and I have led teams of up to 22 people across different shifts. I Studied One Thing but Work in Another: Was My Degree Wasted?

Let me start with a question that has been in my head for a long time: if I study one subject at school or college, and then end up working in something totally different, what was the meaning of studying? I have heard both sides again and again. One side says, “Get your degree, nothing else matters.” The other side says, “Degrees are just paper, skills pay the bills.” After seeing life from both angles, I don't fully agree with either of them.
